Position Overview
As a Human Resources Coordinator Intern at Pocketride, you will support the design, coordination, and scaling of people operations within a fast-growing startup environment.
Reporting to the VP of HR and working closely with department leads, your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
● Assist with end-to-end recruitment processes for interns and equity-based team roles.
● Prepare and distribute offer packages, onboarding documents, and structured training plans.
● Coordinate initial onboarding steps including Slack access, documentation setup, and project orientation.
● Maintain accurate records of contracts, NDAs, intern rosters, and compliance materials.
● Update centralized HR documentation in collaboration with external HRIS partners (e.g., Citation Canada).
● Ensure accurate time-tracking and project alignment across all intern departments.
● Manage internal announcements, Slack channel updates, and organizational workflows.
● Facilitate team check-ins, engagement surveys, and progress tracking for interns.
● Document key meetings, decisions, responsibilities, and Learning & Development (L&D) outcomes.
● Track individual KPIs, weekly deliverables, and feedback exchanges across the team.
● Support remediation processes, exit coordination, and intern performance reviews.
● Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Pocketride’s internship policies and HR practices.
● Coordinate with the Driver Onboarding and Admin teams on Transportation Network Company (TNC) compliance.
● Ensure policy documents, onboarding materials, and safety workflows are clearly communicated to all drivers.
Preferred Qualifications
● Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
● Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
● Effective written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong research and analytical thinking.
● Comfortable working independently in a start-up environment with evolving priorities.
