Position Overview
As an HR Specialist at Pocketride, you will play a key role in strengthening people operations, workplace culture, compliance, and performance across the organization. This role supports leadership in driving end to end recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, training initiatives, and daily HR operations while ensuring compliance with employment standards and internal policies.
This position is ideal for HR professionals who are detail-oriented, people-focused, and passionate about building scalable HR systems in a fast-growing startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations, Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle Support: Support end-to-end recruitment activities including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication. Maintain hiring trackers and assist with onboarding and offboarding documentation.
Employee Engagement: Lead and support employee engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening workplace culture, motivation, and retention.
Performance Management: Coordinate performance management activities, including goal tracking, feedback cycles, and maintaining performance evaluation records.
Training & Development: Assist in identifying training needs and implementing learning and development programs across teams to foster professional growth.
Compliance & Policy Management: Monitor compliance with employment laws, workplace standards, and internal HR policies. Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate employee documentation and prepare HR-related reports for leadership and management review.
Leadership & Team Development:
○ Mentor and guide interns or junior team members in HR processes and best practices.
○ Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across the HR function.
○ Promote a culture of professionalism, empathy, and inclusion within cross-functional teams.
○ Risk & Culture Management: Partner with management to identify and mitigate organizational risks while promoting a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment.

Preferred Qualifications
● Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
● Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
● Effective written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong research and analytical thinking.
● Comfortable working independently and leading a team in a start-up environment with evolving priorities.
